AT&T Safer Internet Day Supporter
Providing our customers with the tools they need to make the right decision for their family on content, services and more is important to AT&T. As part of our global commitment to online safety, we support Childnet International – one of the three UK-based Internet Safety organisations that comprise the UK Safer Internet Centre. We're proud of our association with Childnet.
In addition, we back other leading online safety organisations worldwide, including FOSI, iKeepSafe, Connect Safely and Enough is Enough.
AT&T prides itself on its tradition of helping parents stay educated by providing them with important safety tips and information. For example, in November 2011 we announced a landmark agreement with Common Sense media in the US to help AT&T’s more than 100 million wireless customers get the information they need to manage mobile content in the best way possible for their families.
We have also launched a 'Smart Controls' website which combines easy-to-find information about AT&T’s own safety and control tools with access to resources from a wide range of third party experts, all under a single, easy-to-navigate online portal.
And in 2011 we sponsored a survey on a variety of issues related to net safety which involved over 700 parents with kids between the ages of 8 and 17.
AT&T has a significant presence across Europe – the most important region for us outside of the United States - including significant resources located in the UK, Slovakia, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the Nordics, amongst others.
