Suradnici u učenju (Ucitelji.hr) is a teacher association dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment in which education professionals can share their experience, get quality and current information, be innovative and creative and continue their professional development.
We promotes a proper and purposeful use of educational technology in all areas of education, lifelong learning of teachers and teaching and learning about responsible, appropriate and safe use of internet.
In 2012, newly formed Council for Safer Internet will synchronize activities and create synergy among institutions, associations and firms who work on safer internet for children and youth.
Council main aim is raising awareness of whole Croatian population regarding issues about children and youth safety on internet.
Council members are: MInistry of science education and sport, CARNET, Agency for teacher education, Centre for Missing and Exploited Children Brave Phone, The Polytechnic of Zagreb
This year highlights acitivities:
- Open air showcase for Safer Internet Day
- Multimedia exibition of students works
- Publication of didactical online games for students (Personal Data protection)
- Croatian version of videos Ovce.sk
- Publication translated resources from Insafe (SID Leaflet, Lesson plans, AUP posters)
- Workshops in primary and sceondary schools
- Publication of guides about e-safety for children, parents and teachers
For the third year in a row, the Croatian teachers association Partners in Learning has launched the campaign „Safer internet For Kids and Youth“ to promote safer and more responsible use of the internet. Teachers articles and students mulitmedia works from previous years can be found on the website ucitelji.hr and in digital magazine Pogled kroz prozor (A View Through the Window).
This year a wide range of activities will be conducted all over the country. Students, teachers, teaching assistants and parents together with everybody else who recognizes the importance of child internet safety, are invited to actively participate in the events. Activities for students include the creation of different multimedia files (animations, video files, games etc.) which will not only highlight possible internet dangers but also give advice on how to avoid them. Student work will be showcased on the ucitelji.hr website and prizes for the best projects will be awarded. The deadline for submission is February 20th.

Teachers and teaching assistants will participate in the event by organizing seminars, workshops and other types of activities that will engage their students. Teachers will share best practice examples, exchange ideas and give advice and information on online safety issues. They will write about their experiences for the teacher e-magazine Pogled. Parents and adults in general will be able to attend online webinars and seminars which will be organized in primary and secondary schools all over Croatia. They will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of the internet, different means of online communication, personal data protection, cyber violence, cyber fraud, social networking dangers and traps and the ways of protecting their children and their families against internet dangers. The seminars and the webinars will promote effective, responsible and safe use of the internet. Special emphasis will be placed on the exchange of practical ideas, first-hand experience and useful advice to provide guidance for parents and children in the world of new technologies.
