CZECH REPUBLIC Safer Internet Centre Safer Internet Day 2013 in the Czech RepublicEvery year the Safer Internet Day is opening the safer internet awareness campaign of the National safer internet awareness centre in the Czech Republic. In 2013 the online rights and responsibilities become the main theme of the Safer Internet Day. The SID 2013 will be opened traditionally by the press conference - a range of events and documents will be introduced to media. First of all the third annual round of the nationwide competition: Schools, public libraries, public internet access points, organisations and individuals as well as the Czech network of information centers for youth will be invited to organize different events – lessons, workshops, discussions, exhibitions - promoting the safer use of the internet. The events will be announced on the Saferinternetday.cz web and displayed on the map of the Czech Republic. The most popular events will be awarded a Czech Safer Internet Day 2013 prize. The SID 2013 national committee intitiated by the NCBI will coordinate the nationwide campaign and evaluate the results of the SID 2013 competition. About the Czech Safer Internet National Awareness Centre The Czech National Awareness Centre is a project of the Narodni centrum bezpecnejsiho internetu (NCBI - National Safer Internet Centre), which is supported by the European Commission in the frame of the Safer Internet programme. In compliance with the programme objectives, the Centre strives to enhance Internet users’ awareness of possible on-line threats.
