ITALY Safer Internet Centre Connected Generations Connected Generations is the name of the new project coordinated by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, and that which is carrying forward the work of the former Youth Online Centre, an experience that came to a close in 2012. The project, which will be carried out over two years, foresees a collaboration involving Save the Children Italy, Telefono Azzurro, the Interior Ministry Postal Police and Communications Department, Child and Adolescents Watchdog Authorities, the E.D.I. Safer Internet Day 2013 On the occasion of Internet Day 2013, an event will be held to present the new project in the presence of Education Minister Francesco Profumo. During the event, aside from that given by the Minister, contributions will be delivered by Ernesto Caffo (President of Telefono Azzurro), Valerio Neri (Director-General of Save the Children), Vincenzo Spadafora (Child and Adolescents Watchdog Authority), Antonio Apruzzese (Postal Police and Communications Department of the Interior Ministry), Antonio Longo (President of the Citizens Defense Movement), and Emilia Romano (E.D.I. Cooperative). As a part of the event, a workshop that simulates activities will be carried out by students with Save the Children and Telefono Azzurro operators.
