Promethean Planet Safer Internet Day Supporter
Safer Internet Day 2012
At PrometheanPlanet.com, we’re committed to promoting e-safety and raising awareness of cyber-bullying, which is why we’re proud to support Safer Internet Day (SID) on February 7, 2012.
To help schools recognize SID, we’ve compiled a great range of free resources that educate students and teachers alike about staying safe in the digital age. These include exclusive e-safety quizzes from Millionaire for Schools, fun flipcharts for use with 2–9 year olds from Hector’s World, and advice for educators from the Teachers TV archives. To begin using these resources and more, simply register for free on PrometheanPlanet.com.
With online technology, social media and smartphones now a key part of many young people’s lives, we’re also interested in finding out how often educators are encountering incidents of cyber-bullying among their students. We’re therefore running a Planet poll to coincide with SID 2012, inviting all our members to reflect on how prevalent cyber-bullying is in their schools.
