Slovak Safer Internet Centre (SK SIC)
SK SIC was initiated by NGO eSlovensko, Slovak Committee for UNICEF and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (project Websites: Zodpovedne.sk, Pomoc.sk, Stopline.sk, Sheeplive.sk, Nehejtuj.sk, Kybersikanovanie.sk). The Project focuses on the Safety of Children and Youth, especially the Risks of the Internet, mobile Phones and new Technologies. For the lower age Group of Children acts as a prevention Project, to Youth it wittily sets the Mirror of Misconduct and Adults wishing to learn from the Project.
Safer Internet Day 2015
SID 2015 took place on Tuesday 10th February 2015 at 10:30 am at the Academy of the Police force in Bratislava. During the event, there was introduced the project "Kybersikanovanie.sk" ("Cyberbullying" in Slovak language). Besides the website, the project delivers the kit including the DVD with cyberbullying movies and professional book. There was also organized the ceremony for the winners of the 6th Competition Zodpovedne.sk organized in all school across the Slovakia.
The 12th Safer Internet Day had the theme "Let's create a better internet together". Once again, all stakeholders – children and young people, parents and carers, teachers and educators, or industry and politicians – were invited to join in marking the day and working together to build a better internet for all, but particularly children and young people.
