Safety on Snapchat
Snapchat excites young people with creative face filters, colourful stickers, Bitmoji and short, spontaneous messages which disappear after you have seen or read it. This is one of the key reasons why this social media app carries a greater risk of cyberbullying. Because of “seemingly” disappearing content teens more often tend to share their nudes with peers as well as personal information and very private things thinking that they are not exposed to any threats yet in reality receiver can take a screenshot or record content and share it with others.
