About our SID activities

Via our Computing At School (CAS) platform, we have developed a range of new online safety resources for KS1 and KS2 in time for Safer Internet Day 2024.

To maximise the reach of the Safer Internet Day message, we will be using social media and our professional networks to reach our members, volunteers and teaching communities in order to raise awareness of SID, and online safety in general.

We will also be promoting resources from our organisation aimed at supporting primary teachers, Barefoot Computing. We continue to drive traffic to our online safety page that collates all our resources to help primary teachers spread awareness about Safer Internet Day in the primary computing classroom.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

The BCS ethos of making IT good for society is passionately reflected in our regard for online safety, and efforts to promote a safer internet for all. Through our work supporting both teachers and students, we aim to create and sustain a society with no digital divide, where the IT profession is diverse and inclusive, and cutting-edge tech is providing solutions to the climate emergency.
