Whether in person or online, bullying is among children's top concerns – and they're taking action to stop it. In the 2019 #ENDviolence Youth Manifesto
, young people committed to "being respectful and careful in how we treat our community and to speak[ing] up when it is safe to do so." Last year, they made good on that commitment by answering UNICEF's kindness call and posting hundreds of thousands of positive messages to one another online.
What we are doing to support the SID slogan of "Together for a better internet"…
This Safer Internet Day, UNICEF will continue supporting young people in the movement to #ENDviolence in and around schools, including online. Aligned with the #ENDviolence campaign's objectives to reduce the acceptance of bullying and empower young people and parents to take a stand, we will be joining forces with experts and industry representatives to answer young people's top questions about cyberbullying to be published on our website and other channels on the day.
UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families.
