What are we doing to create a better internet...

SIGURT is working closely with SID and INHOPE to make continuous progress regarding improving internet safety, especially for children and young people. We will continue to work closely with professionals in schools and public spaces where children are present to raise awareness on risks children and young people face while online, how to protect themselves and where to report incidents. Finally, we are engaging politicians and MPs of the Parliamentary group "Friends of Children" at the Albanian Parliament to improve the legal framework regarding online crimes against children and young people.

About us

National Platform for Safer Internet in Albania (iSIGURT.al) works to empower children, parents, teachers and citizens for better and positive use of Internet and other forms of communications , while act as a National Hotline on Internet Safety for reporting CSAM, hate speech and crimes, online bulling etc.

In Albania, Safer Internet Day (SID) is supported and led by CRCA/ECPAT Albania, the leading agency behind National Platform for Safer Internet in the country.

CRCA/ECPAT Albania works since 2005 to make the internet safer for children, youth and citizens in overall. In 2015, it established the National Platform for Internet Safety (National Hotline), www.ISIGURT.al, where everyone can report incidents of online safety, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual exploitation, bullying, and so on.

Every year on the SID we publish the Annual Report on Internet Safety in Albania, which is a bi-lingual publication sharing analytical and statistical information on all the reported incidents of CSAM, hate crimes, online bullying etc. An internet safety conference / workshop is organised every year with the participation of the authorities, CSOs, industry, and experts to design common actions for better and safer internet in Albania
