What we are doing to create a better internet...

Prevention is better than a cure: cybercrime prevention and awareness are important to ensuring that law enforcement operates efficiently and helps build a safer society. Europol's EC3 is an essential caterpillar in the European law enforcement community to counter this phenomenon holistically, including its prevention.

About us

Europol is the law enforcement agency of the European Union. Our aim is to help achieve a safer Europe by supporting the law enforcement agencies of the European Union (EU)’s  Member States in their fight against international serious crime and terrorism.

More than 1,400 staff at Europol’s headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands work closely with law enforcement agencies in the 27 EU Member States and in over 20 non-EU countries such as Australia, Canada, the USA, and Norway.

Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre specialises in combatting and preventing crime online, including child exploitation, electronic attacks on information systems, and fraud.
