Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Cybersecurity Agency and the Greek Safer Internet Centre to strengthen cybersecurity in Greece
The National Cybersecurity Authority and the FORTH Institute of Computer Science have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, laying the groundwork for a strategic and multi-level collaboration in the field of public awareness and education on cybersecurity.Considering the challenges of the digital era and the growing threats in cyberspace, the two parties commit to the joint design and implementation of actions promoting the safe use of the internet and digital services, with particular emphasis on protecting vulnerable groups such as children, parents, and the elderly.

Latest helpline trends: Quarter 2, 2025
The most recent helpline data covers the period from April to June 2025. There were over 15,000 contacts made to the network, representing an increase of over 9 per cent compared to the previous reporting period. This increase may reflect several factors, such as greater awareness efforts by national helplines or emerging online trends prompting more people to seek support. However, the way helpline data is collected does not allow firm conclusions about the drivers of change.

January to June 2025 in review: continued growth in hotline reports
A major factor in the overall increase remains the sharp rise in reports processed by SafeNet Bulgaria, which alone recorded over 1.6 million reports in the second quarter. This contributed to the overall growth in the volume of content that hotlines assessed and escalated.
