About our SID activities
On Safer Internet Day, we will share the cultural adaptation of the resources developed by the Marie Collins Foundation, which provide guidance and support on what to do when our daughter or son is a victim of online sexual abuse.
Addittionaly, we will provide our audience with a newsletter and a webinar to raise awareness about these resources.
What we are doing to support the SID 2023 slogan of "Together for a better internet"…
Our commitment this year is to continue strengthening the capacities of the relevant actors for the protection of the rights of children and adolescents in digital environments, as well as to ensure that the region has a much more solid regulation for the protection of children and adolescents on digital platforms.
What we are doing to mark the 20th anniversary of Safer Internet Day…
Our focus this year is to help mothers, fathers and caregivers create conversations with their children about risks in digital environments, especially when they have been victims of online sexual abuse.
About us
Viguías is the first Spanish-speaking Safer Internet Center in Latin America. We have the helpline Te Protejo for reporting violations of the rights of children and adolescents; the network of youth initiatives Tú Lideras; and the helpline Te Guío for guidance on harmful sexual behavior in minors.
