Spanish Safer Internet Centre - Internet Segura for Kids (IS4K)
About our SID activities
The Spanish Safer Internet Centre (SIC), Internet Segura for Kids (IS4K), will celebrate and promote Safer Internet Day 2020 with the following activities:
Safer Internet Day event
An event will be held with different activities throughout the day (www.incibe.es/sid). There will be a programme of inspirational talks in two auditoriums held for children, parents, educators and other professionals, a play about cyberbullying and an interactive workshop for young attendees. The event will focus around this year's motto: "A better internet starts with you: together we learn cybersecurity".
During the event, the awards of the contest " Lights, camera, action! record your (SID2020) ad" and the distinctions of the "Cibercooperantes" programme will be delivered to the winners. This programme's distinctions include the "cyber cooperant" of the Year 2019 (selected from among all the members of the programme who have given awareness talks, taking into account the number of talks given and the evaluation of the centres), and the "cyber cooperant of honor" which, was awarded to Her Majesty Queen Letizia on 2019, receiving the recognition for her contribution in the transmission of values of tolerance, respect and solidarity in all areas, including the online environment.
Finally, this year the event will hold an exhibition space of stands and demos for companies to present their solutions, products or services related to cybersecurity, privacy and the safe use of ICT by minors.
Awareness talks in educational centres
During the weeks leading up to the event, awareness-raising talks are taking place were given under IS4K's programmes "Cibercooperantes" and "Jornadas escolares" in educational centres across the country covering topics such as privacy and safety online.
Dissemination of SID 2020 through social networks
What we are doing to support the SID 2020 slogan of "Together for a better internet"…
With the aim of highlighting the advantages of learning together (kids and adults) how to be safe and secure on the internet, the 2020 slogan: "A better internet starts with you: together we learn about cybersecurity", invites us to join the global movement, participate and make the most of the internet to unite people.
Internet Segura for Kids (IS4K) is preparing and carrying out different activities to celebrate and show the purpose of SID to its target audiences: a public event with talks for children, parents, educators and other professionals; a fair of security solutions focused on the minor; awareness talks through the Cibercooperantes Programme, and activities to give visibility to SID 2020 in SoMe.
